I’m Miranda! I'm a wife, toddler mom, and birth doula serving families in the Treasure Valley. I met my wonderful husband in college in Montana, where we decided to spend our early marriage. Now we're back here in Boise to stay, and to continue to raise our little family. My passion for birth work began with the birth of my son. Becoming a mother showed me just how valuable it is to have support, encouragement, and care during pregnancy and birth.
I’m the owner of Stella Maris Doula, and I’m excited to be part of the Thrive Birth Co. team. Outside of birth work, most of my favorite things are pretty simple: time with my family, getting outside with my little one, painting, singing, and slow mornings with coffee. My faith is a meaningful part of my life, and I’m grateful for the way it has shaped how I see motherhood, birth, and the families I have the privilege of serving.
What I believe about birth
I believe birth is deeply personal, and what feels right for one mother may look completely different for another. Every mother comes to birth with her own hopes, preferences, experiences, and circumstances, and I believe those things deserve to be heard and respected.
I value preparation, but I also believe in leaving room for the unexpected. Birth doesn’t always go according to plan, and when it doesn’t, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. My hope is that my clients understand their options, feel comfortable asking questions, and trust themselves to make the decisions that are right for them and their baby.
My Approach to Care
I want my clients to feel like they have a doula who truly knows them, not just their birth plan. I take time during pregnancy to get to know you, talk through what matters to you, and help you feel ready for the different possibilities birth can bring.
When labor comes, I follow your lead and provide what you need moment to moment. That might mean movement, counterpressure, position changes, encouragement, helping you think through a decision, or simply being there when you need someone beside you.
I also care about supporting partners. I want them to feel confident in their role and know that they don’t have to figure it all out on their own, either.
At the end of the day, I want you to feel prepared without feeling overwhelmed, informed without feeling pressured, and supported without feeling like anyone is making your decisions for you.

Miranda is a wife, mother, and birth doula whose faith in God is at the heart of how she approaches birth and motherhood. She believes there is something sacred about welcoming a new baby into the world and feels honored to be invited into such an important part of a family’s life.
She takes time to get to know the people she serves and listen to what matters to them. She wants her clients to feel ready for birth without feeling like they need to have everything figured out. She also wants partners to feel confident in their role and to know that they have support, too. Her hope is that her clients feel comfortable asking questions, being themselves, and making the choices that feel right for their family.
